The purpose of the apparatus for lifting and lowering a person according to the present invention is to provide a decisive improvement over the above-mentioned problems and thus to clearly increase the state of the art in the art. To achieve this object, the apparatus according to the invention is characterized by what is stated in the characterizing part of the independent protection claim against it.
The most important advantages of the apparatus according to the invention are the simplicity and reliability of the constructions and technology suitable for realizing the rescue station according to it, whereby it is possible to easily and reliably ensure, firstly, the safety of an emergency exit from the balcony of a residential building. Thanks to the invention, on the other hand, it is possible to store the equipment base of the equipment for lifting and lowering a person inside a cabinet structure protected from external conditions.
In the use of the apparatus according to the invention, it is still possible to use the winch without the need to use an auxiliary person, in which case a person connected to the winch drive member, e.g. with a safety or lifting harness, can be switched off if desired or automatically.
